BRIDGEPORT, WEST VIRGINIA
Higley served as Construction Manager at Risk for the new Bridgeport Airport Hangers. The project included the removal of two semi-permanent aircraft hangars with two new 50,000 SF (each) hangars at the North Central West Virginia airport in Bridgeport, WV. These hangar buildings were being constructed to service regional jets for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, which is a tenant on the airport property. We worked with the airport to develop value engineering ideas that let them execute the original concept for the project, while escaping significant added costs for the cost escalation events that took place post-Covid.
