Higley served as Construction Manager at Risk for several renovations for Ulmer & Berne LLP including the 10th, 11th, and 12th floors at 1600 West 2nd Street, and in the Skylight Office Tower. The scope of the $3 Million, 85,596 SF project embraced reconfiguration of secretarial workstations and improvement of the restrooms, staff lunchroom, audio visual infrastructure, and storage space. Features included dimensional, suspended ceilings, textured glass, electric fireplaces, and a 4,200 SF, signature lobby floor, comprised of 200 year-old birch wood tiles. In addition, the project incorporated state-of-the-art wireless and videoconferencing technology.

• Our firm received award of subsequent projects by the client.
• The previous project completed on a fast-track basis to meet its exceptionally aggressive delivery schedule and to mitigate the finish materials not available upon the client’s fixed move-in date.
• Coordinated with the design team, who was not local and minimally visited the site.
• Managed and negotiated terms and conditions for a subcontractor to repair and replace the signature flooring, when the first staining failed.
• Construction completed accident free.
