For the last century The Albert M. Higley Co. has earned a reputation as a leading construction firm in the region. Earlier this month, we unveiled our new identity as Higley Construction. We are excited to celebrate our 100th year with this bold evolution in our brand.
Founded in 1925 by Albert Higley Sr., and headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Higley Construction has built a legacy of quality and trust over the past 100 years. Over the last decade, we have expanded our reach with five regional offices and a portfolio that currently spans Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and West Virginia. From completing over 100 projects in our first 5 years to the completion of over 11,000 projects to date, we have embraced our growth while honoring our history.
Gareth Vaughan, Chairman and CEO has shared his enthusiasm about the rebrand, saying, “Higley Construction is excited about what the next century holds as we embrace our new brand while still highlighting our 100 years of history. I am proud to lead the company into the future and continue to make our mark on the construction industry.”
From $1 million renovations to $100 million landmark developments, Higley Construction delivers an unwavering commitment to quality and collaboration on every project. The company’s legacy in Northeast Ohio includes iconic historical contributions such as the Indiana War Memorial, Cleveland’s Old Coast Guard Station, and the Western Reserve Historical Society.
Today, Higley continues to shape city skylines and enrich metropolitan areas across the region. In Pittsburgh, the company made its mark with the innovative green roof of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Along the shores of Lake Erie, Higley is underway on the expansion of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Higley also builds community through impactful projects. In New Jersey, the team recently completed the Lawrenceville School’s Tsai Dining and Athletic Center, creating a vibrant hub for students. In Detroit, Higley has partnered with the Detroit Zoological Society on projects such as the Devereaux Tiger Forest and Discovery Trails, fostering education and conservation.
For over a century Higley Construction has helped our clients realize their goals and visions, while always adhering to the principles of honesty, integrity, and mutual respect. Throughout 2025, we will be celebrating their centennial year with “100 Days of Community Service”. This company and our people have always had a strong commitment to giving back to the communities where we work and live.
Higley Construction remains dedicated to our mission-driven approach to building community. We continue to go beyond bricks and mortar to carry forward a century-long legacy of excellence. While embracing a new name and look, Higley remains grounded in the values that have always defined our company: PEOPLE, ETHICS, RESPECT, COMMITMENTS, AND EXCELLENCE.
